Frequently Asked Questions
-
No.
Many clients come to me because they know something isn't working, but they're not sure what the best solution is.
You might have ideas, inspiration images, or a general feeling about how you'd like your home to look and function, but you don't need to have everything figured out before we begin.
My role is to understand how you live, identify what's not working, and develop a design direction that suits your home and the way you want to use it.
-
If you're unsure, that's completely normal.
For renovation and cabinetry projects, we begin with a Design Discovery Consultation. This allows us to discuss your project, understand your goals, and determine the most appropriate service moving forward.
-
You'll be involved in the key decisions, but you won't be expected to research products, compare endless options, or work through everything on your own.
My role is to guide the process, narrow down choices, and provide recommendations that support the overall outcome.
-
My approach focuses on developing and refining a design direction rather than presenting endless alternatives.
Where appropriate, I may present a small number of options for materials or finishes, however the goal is always to provide clear recommendations that help move the project forward.
-
Yes.
I regularly provide drawings, selections, and documentation that can be used by builders, cabinet makers, and other trades involved in the project.
The level of involvement will depend on the scope of the service being provided.
-
Following the consultation, you'll receive a summary of our discussion along with recommendations for the next stage.
If additional design work is required, a tailored proposal will be prepared outlining the recommended scope of work and associated fees.
